Implementation-readiness spec for showing a private (unadvertised) account offering to a hand-picked set of dashboard users.
Brand: fewpipsRequested by: Nick Jones (msg #693)Owner: ~DjPriority: MediumStatus: Blocked — awaiting user email list
The request (verbatim)
"ok so we havent heard back from instagram ref the verification. In the mean time, it is not going to be advertised publicly that we are offering this. It will be for users who are from 3rd world countries and for users who have NOT purchased any accounts from us. What we are going to do is create a folder and add them all into this folder. we will then flick the switch so that particular user [sees it]."
— Nick Jones, Fewpips Marketing group, msg #693
In plain terms: create a folder in the dashboard, drop a curated list of users into it, and toggle a per-folder visibility switch so only those users see the account/offering on their dashboard. Nothing about this offering goes on public marketing until Instagram verification lands.
Eligibility rules Private / do not advertise
The folder membership is defined by both conditions being true:
Geography: user is from a 3rd-world / developing country.
Purchase history: user has NOT purchased any accounts from fewpips.
This targeting is internal only. It must never appear in any public page, email, social post, or creative — the whole point is that the offering stays unadvertised while Instagram verification is pending. Treat it the same way the invite-only tracks are treated: curated list in, no public copy out.
What "flick the switch" needs (implementation)
Two pieces: a folder / user-group object, and a per-group visibility toggle on the offering. Recommended shape:
1
Create the folder (user group)
A named group in the dashboard admin, e.g. gated-partial-payments. Holds the curated user list. Not visible to users; admin-only.
2
Populate it from Nick's email list
Add each provided email to the group. Ideally bulk import (paste/CSV of emails) with a report of matched vs. unmatched emails so any typos or non-existent accounts surface immediately.
3
Attach the offering to the group and toggle visibility
On the account/offering, add an "Audience: gated group" setting. When ON, the offering renders on the dashboard only for users in that group; everyone else sees nothing. Default OFF.
4
Verify
Impersonate / test with one in-group user (offering visible) and one out-of-group user (offering hidden) before going wide.
Offering visible to gated-partial-payments group · hidden from everyone else
Where this lives: this is a dashboard/admin action on crm.fewpips.com (or wherever the user-facing account dashboard is served), not a marketing-site copy change. It needs whoever owns the dashboard admin (Chirag/dev team per prior thread, or Djordje) — not the fewpips.com repo PR flow. Confirm below.
Blocker — why this isn't populated yet
Blocked
User email list not provided
Nick's message ends on the plan; the actual list of user emails to add has not been posted in the group thread yet. Nick explicitly said he "will provide the list" — nothing to populate the folder with until it arrives.
Confirm
Dashboard admin access + which offering
Creating the folder + per-user toggle requires dashboard admin rights the runner doesn't hold. Also need confirmation of exactly which account/offering this gates (context points to the partial-payments offering, msg #682/#684).
How to unblock (any one of these)
Send the email list — paste it in the group, drop a Drive/Sheet link, or attach a CSV to this CRM task. One email per line is enough.
Confirm the target offering — name the exact account/offering to gate (assumed: partial-payments offering) so the toggle is wired to the right item.
Confirm who runs the dashboard action — if the folder + toggle live in the dashboard admin (not the marketing repo), say whether Djordje applies it or it goes to Chirag/dev team; the runner will hand over this spec + the ready-to-paste user list.
As soon as the list lands, the folder can be populated and the visibility toggle flipped for exactly those users, with a matched/unmatched report back.
CONFIRM before execution — for ~Dj / Djordje
Provide the list of user emails to add (still pending from Nick).
Confirm the offering being gated = partial-payments accounts (msg #682/#684)? If not, name it.
Confirm the surface: is this the crm.fewpips.com user dashboard admin, and who has rights to create the folder + flip the toggle?
Reminder: eligibility (3rd-world geo + non-purchasers) stays internal — no public copy, ever, until Instagram verification lands.
Nothing is sent to the client or any group from the runner — this spec is for internal review and approval only.
